Aaron Kowall Aaron is the Application Lifecycle Management Practice Lead at Imaginet Resources Corp. Aaron has over 16 years in the Application Development and IT arena and his drive and determination has made him a sought after leader. His reputation earned him a spot on EDS’s Top Gun team where he was asked to investigate the very early work Microsoft was doing on ALM tooling and process to see if it could augment or supplant EDS’s own development processes. Aaron’s work directly contributed to MSF 4.0 which was later introduced into VSTS as MSF Agile and MSF for CMMi process templates. As ALM Practice Lead at Imaginet he continues to do consulting on Agile and Lean practices and their implementation with Visual Studio Team System.
Amir Barylko Amir Barylko is an IT consultant with with 15 years of experience working as an architect and developer. He is very passionate about service oriented architectures, TDD, BDD and model driven architectures.
David Wesst Dave Wesst (or Wessty) is a User Experience Developer with ANVIL Digital. Trained at the University of Manitoba, David software development have been with .NET technologies for over 6 years. His development focus has always been front-end development and presentation layer architecture. Since the introduction of WPF in .NET 3.0, David has primarily been working with XAML code within the Expression Blend environment. Dave now focuses on the user experience analysis of software products being developed by ANVIL Digital, along with working with project leads to integrate user experience development practices into their development process.
Devin Reimer Devin Reimer is a 25 year old Flash, Flex and Unity Developer with Computer Science Major from the University of Manitoba. Originally from the small village of Crystal City, Manitoba and now reside in Winnipeg. Devin is a 'Lead Developer - Interactive Specialist' at DMT Development Systems Group Inc focusing primarily on Flash/Flex development. Due to his love of 3D interactive technology he is a developer on the JigLibFlash team (open source physics library for Flash) and a contributor to FIVe3D (open source 3D vector drawing library for Flash). Most of his Flash and Unity projects end up on his blog (blog.almostlogical.com).
Donald Belcham Donald Belcham is an independent contractor in Edmonton. He has worked with .NET for the last 5 years and currently works with both web and smart client applications. Donald is an avid practitioner of agile development methodologies, pragmatic coding practices and delivering quality and value to the business. A Microsoft MVP in C#, Donald is active in the community as the President of the Edmonton .NET User Group, an organizer of the Edmonton Code Camp and a speaker at User Groups and Code Camps across Canada and in the United States. Eric Legault Eric Legault, a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional for Outlook since 2003, is the founder of Collaborative Innovations, a Micro ISV and consulting services provider specializing on Microsoft messaging and collaboration solutions. Eric has over 13 years experience in the IT industry, and has focused his energies developing solutions based on Microsoft application platforms such as Microsoft Office (especially Outlook), SharePoint, SQL Server and Exchange. He holds certifications as a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) for Messaging & Collaboration, SharePoint Infrastructure, WSS 3.0 Application Development and MOSS 2007 Application Development. Eric has also published articles in MSDN, Office Online, Windows IT Pro magazine and various online technology newsletters, and edited books on Outlook, SharePoint and Access. His current focus is on developing custom Outlook Add-Ins to integrate line of business applications or enhance collaboration processes and workflows. Evan Bosscher Evan is a Senior Software Developer at ANVIL Digital where he works developing cutting edge web technologies. He has over a decade of development experience ranging from K & R C on a VAX 4000 to ASP.NET 3.5, Silverlight and jQuery.
Evan Hutnick Evan Hutnick is a Developer Evangelist at Telerik, a provider of development tools and user interface components for .Net. Specializing in Silverlight and WPF, he works on both product development and education of customers and the community at large. Evan has also begun speaking in the northeast region and has been actively working on several independent Silverlight projects.
John Vanderlinde John is a Software Development Team Lead at ANVIL Digital, but still knee deep in code most of the time. He works mainly with C#.Net and ASP.Net, along with a bunch of web technologies, but has also worked with PHP and Progress. You get extra points if you know what Progress actually is.
Kelly Cassidy Kelly Cassidy is the Senior Business Analyst Manager at DMT Development Systems Group, working as analyst from both the business side and system side on various enterprise-level web-based applications, including the recent delivery of 130 websites and associated tools for various automotive clients. He has previously been a software and web developer, software development manager, and software project manager during his career, creating such applications as an eLearning system, international marketing websites and applications, data warehousing applications and a number of online contest applications. He is currently the president of the Winnipeg .NET User's Group and sits on the Interactive Advisory Board of New Media Manitoba.
Michael DeFehr Michael DeFehr is the primary database analyst/developer at Protegra, a leading technology solution provider based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. His career has focused on database administration and development using Microsoft SQL Server. A Professional Engineer and Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional in both Database Development and Administration, Mike has spent the past 15 years producing and maintaining database solutions. Mike specializes in the relational and storage engines and his solutions emphasize performance and simplicity. Mike is the chapter president of the Winnipeg SQL Server Users Group
Patrick Allan Patrick is a professional engineering with a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Manitoba. He spent the first 5 years of his career working for Anvil digital’s number one customer, EH Price. Patrick joined the Anvil team in the summer of 2008 and now manages several software projects that are engineering based for EH Price. Patrick’s primary focus is to provide engineering related technical support and ensure projects are running smoothly, this includes developing prototypes with Expression Blend to illustrate new features to developers and customers before development.
Shane Sholdice Shane Sholdice is a Software Developer/Architect working for Anvil Digital of Winnipeg. Uwe Schmitz Uwe has made a career out of his passion for technology; his thirteenth birthday wish came true with a TRS-80 Pocket Computer and the rest, as they say, is history. Uwe is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer with a keen interest in Microsoft Azure, RESTful WCF services, Silverlight, and Composite Client Application Guidance, in addition to the iPhone. Uwe enjoys sharing his experience with agile technical and non-technical practices and tools.
